The fine print, friendlier

Most of what people ask, answered up front.

Eligibility, payments, draw nights, payouts — the practical stuff, sorted by topic and written in plain language.

Eligibility

Who can take part?

Adults 18 or older who are physically inside Ontario at the moment they buy.

Can I buy from outside Ontario?

No. Our AGCO raffle licence (RAF1493441, valid Aug. 01, 2025 — June 30, 2026) limits ticket sales to buyers physically located in the province.

Are club volunteers and staff allowed in?

Yes — with one exception. Members of the executive directly involved in running the draw can’t enter.

Tickets

How do I get my numbers?

They’re generated the instant your payment clears. You’ll see them on the confirmation screen and again in your email receipt.

Can I get a refund?

Once an order is confirmed, sales are final. The one exception is a cancelled draw — then every ticket holder is refunded automatically.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Payments run through a PCI-compliant processor. We never see or store your full card number.

What does a ticket cost?

Single entries start at $5. Bundle pricing drops the per-ticket cost to as little as $2 in the largest pack. The full price list appears at checkout before you pay.

Can I buy a ticket as a gift?

You can pay with your own card, but every ticket is registered to one name, email, and phone — and only the registered holder can be paid out.

The draw

Where and when does the draw happen?

At the club facility (1540 Lottie Neely Park Rd, Sarnia), at the time listed on the Draw Schedule. The exact method is on the Rules page.

How is the winning entry picked?

A random number generator approved under our AGCO licence selects one ticket from every entry sold for that draw.

What if a draw has to move?

We post the new date here and email everyone holding a ticket. Tickets you already bought stay valid.

Does anyone independent watch the draw?

Yes. A neutral observer, separate from the club executive, witnesses each draw, and their attestation is filed with the AGCO licence record.

Winnings

How do I claim my prize?

We reach the winning ticket holder directly using the email and phone on file. You’ll confirm your identity and ticket number before payout.

How fast will I be paid?

Prizes go out by e-transfer or cheque within seven business days of completed verification.

What happens to an unclaimed prize?

It’s held in trust and handled in line with AGCO rules. The full detail is on the Rules page.

Will you publish my name if I win?

Only with your written consent. The AGCO does require a basic confirmation that a winner has been paid, but your full name and photo are never released without permission.

Do I owe tax on my winnings?

In Canada, lottery and raffle winnings aren’t taxable income. If you’re unsure how a prize affects your situation, check with an accountant.

Supporting the club

Where exactly do proceeds go?

Half of every ticket goes to Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia — coaching salaries, equipment upgrades, travel for competitive athletes, and access subsidies.

Can I support the club without buying a ticket?

Of course. Email support@winners-grs.com and we’ll point you to the club’s direct-donation page.
